‘The show rolled in from the bar and before I knew it I was immersed in a world I’ve only ever seen in the movies.’
Paired with an exquisite three-course menu, LOVE & FORGETTING – Tales from a Young Mixer offers a unique celebration of storytelling and community – a truly memorable night out, seamlessly blending live performance with award-winning hospitality.
With wit, warmth, and irresistible charm, these tales trace a familiar story of chasing dreams from the bush to the big city and beyond. Inspired by cinema legends, literary icons, and timeless tunes, this finely crafted cocktail of cabaret, classic jazz, and storytelling raises a glass to the people, poets and places that shape us. As the line blurs between fact and fiction, service and stage, the evening pays tribute to the bars and bistros at the heart of our communities – where memories are made, tales told, and lives forever changed.
From the banks of the Murrumbidgee to the heights of Manhattan, this evocative feast for the senses will stir spirits and spark the imagination – right by the mighty Macleay River.
